CLARA DA COSTA

 Clara da Costa is a dancer, choreographer and movement director.

Graduated in Major Performance at SEAD (Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance), in Salzburg, Austria, she also studied at the Tisch School of the Arts – NYU (New York University), USA. 

She taught a workshop for Cirque de Soleil. Participated in projects and performances with international choreographers.

Her original works are: "Synergy" (RJ), "p r e SENTE" (RJ), "Experimental Colorful Genies Flying on Butterflies" (AT), "Lil´C" (NY), "Rush" (PR).

In Musical Theater she works as a choreographer, director, cast member, body trainer and also resident director. Her most recent work was "Chicago," where she served as director and choreographer.

She recently worked with Grupo Tápias as a performer in the works "Imprevisto, onde o amor acontece" and "Café não é só uma xícara"; with Yana Reutova, Ukrainian choreographer, she worked on "Strength in Beauty" in the Czech Republic and "Invisible traces" in Brazil.

Now she is working on the duo "Womanhood" with Yana Reutova that has the premiere in june in Czech Republic and a tour in Europe and Brazil, and she is researching her new solo project , "Peel the Onion".

Since 2015 she shares her Workshop "Corpo único" in Brasil and Europe.
